The DeCoSEAS project is a EU-funded transnational research project focused on hearing and listening as dialogical modes of knowledge formation in order to renegotiate established understandings of heritage curation.

Angles is a an aristic project led by KU Leuven about that aims to create a shared space for collaborative reflection about the future of colonial and missionary audiovisual archives by exploring the potential of their creative reuse, taking the film collection of the Missionaries of Africa (the White Fathers) as its starting point.

Funded by the University of Oxford through their Humanities Knowledge Exhange Fellowships, the project is about connecting academic research on transnational women’s suffrage campaigns within the British Empire to collections, properties and people associated with the National Trust.
Funded by the University of Oxford through their Humanities Knowledge Exhange Fellowships, this projectsupports the National Trust to reinterpret the collection to address its colonial origins, exploring global history and museology, as well as the histories of colonialism, gender, Anglo-Indian diplomacy, and looting.

Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, the project is based on the idea that the memory and heritage of colonialism needs to find its place in the contemporary narratives of Europe.   ECHOES combines the innovative theoretical conceptualization of ‘de-colonial entanglements’ with deep empirical exploration of both EU institutional activities and programs together with key European and non-European city innovations and connections.

The two Zoom in on Heritage pilots were part of CultureLabs project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Zoom in on Heritage 1 invited the participants, a multicultural group of women, to share stories and engage in dialogue through photographs, using the Picture Collections of Museovirasto (Finnish Heritage Agency) and their own photographs. Zoom in on Heritage 2 invited a group from the Russian-speaking minority in Finland to engage in participatory cultural activities that approach the issues of diversity and identity through creative use of photographs.

[Re:]Entanglements is the website of a project entitled ‘Museum Affordances’ funded by the UK’s Arts & Humanities Research Council, which is re-engaging with a remarkable ethnographic archive – including objects, photographs, sound recordings, botanical specimens, published work and fieldnotes – assembled by the colonial anthropologist, N. W. Thomas, in Southern Nigeria and Sierra Leone between 1909 and 1915.
